Short bio. Jan Claes is a postdoctoral researcher at the MIS research group of Ghent University. His research interests include differentiated problem solving, process mining, and process modelling, both from a process and from a product based point of view. He holds a master in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science (HoGent) and in Business Economics (UGent) and a PhD in Applied Economic Sciences (UGent) and in Industrial Engineering Sciences (TUEindhoven). He has published in several outstanding journals (including DSS, ESWA, and ISF) and conferences (including BPM, CAiSE, and ECIS). More info at
